Rockin' Doc Award

To recognize the special contributions of our physician partners, the Case Management Department has developed a quarterly physician award we call the Rockin’ Doc award. Our intent is to let physicians who work closely with us and champion the causes relevant to case management know of our appreciation for their work.  After soliciting nominations for the first quarter of 2010, we were honored to bestow the inaugural Case Management Rockin’ Doc award upon Dr. David Bartelt on March 29, 2010.

The winning nomination states, “Dr Bartelt keeps case management well informed of medical information relating to discharges, is respectful of our role and listens to what we have to say.”

In appreciation for his work with us, Dr. Bartelt was recognized in front of the case management staff and his physician peers with a certificate and a cake decorated with his picture.  We were so pleased that Dr. Bartelt’s wife, mother-in-law, son and daughter were able to attend the ceremony.  The event was a fun opportunity for us to acknowledge the efforts of one of our physicians and to get to know him and his family on a more personal level.

The Case Management Department plans to award a Rockin’ Doc award each quarter with a grand prize winner awarded at the end of the year.  We hope you will join us for cake and ice cream to honor our future Rockin’ Docs.  Please know that we appreciate each of you every day!
