Electroneurodiagnostics

At The Medical Center of Aurora, we offer a variety of tools that are used to measure electrical activity of the brain and nervous system. These tools are called electroneurodiagnostics, and they can help diagnose movement disorders, as well as nerve disorders and seizure disorders. We have specially trained electroencephalogram (EEG) technicians, which allows for the most accurate diagnostic abilities.

• Long-term EEG video monitoring - an EEG that spans 24 to 72 hours and is accompanied by video and audio recordings. It is used for definitive diagnose of subclinical seizures and it is used to monitor patients whose level of consciousness is altered to bring them out of continuous seizures.
